Investing in your community is a great way to give back to those who have helped support your business. Volunteer groups and non-profit organizations do so much to help the communities that all of us are a part of, but they can't do it alone. Perhaps in the holiday season, more than at any other time, our hearts go out to others. But there are always those who are less fortunate than we are and will appreciate our help all year round. Give what you can regularly to the charities that make a difference to your local and national community. You may be surprised at the benefits you reap!
Cook for the Cure®, presented by KitchenAid, gives those with a passion for cooking a way to support the breast cancer movement. To date, the program has raised more than $5 million through donation-with-purchase programs, fundraising events, auctions and grassroots initiatives.
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer. In 1982, that promise became Susan G Komen for the Cure. With nearly $1 billion invested already, it's the world's largest source of nonprofit funds for curing breast cancer.
Remodelers Advantage is doing our part to fight the battle and hope you will join us. To save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is closer now than ever to finding a cure. Type 1 diabetes is a disease which strikes children suddenly and requires multiple injections of insulin daily or a continuous infusion of insulin through a pump. By supporting JDRF's mission to find a cure you won't only be saving children, you will be saving childhoods.
This year, Remodelers Advantage was proud to donate $250.00 to support Katie Bellamy in the Walk to Cure Diabetes. Millions of people - many of them children - struggle each day with this devastating disease. We feel our contribution will help to make a difference in their efforts to find a cure.
The mission of the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association, together with its state and local members, is to support and promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children so that they can thrive in safe, permanent homes.
In the next two years, their goal is to help an additional 100,000 children beyond those we already serve. This is just one step along the way to providing a CASA volunteer for every child who needs one. We hope that our contribution of $200.00 in 2007, will be the turning point in the life of a child who's suffering.
Giving back to 'our' community gives us a pleasant feeling of connectedness and the satisfaction of at least trying to make the world a better place. This year the team at Remodelers Advantage participated in the "Avon Walk for Breast Cancer" on April 29-30, 2006. With donations from our member community we raised a whopping $39,464.00 for Breast Cancer research. Thank you for being our partner in the fight against breast cancer.
During this holiday season we have many things to be thankful for - among them are our families, friends and our freedom. It is especially important for us to remember the men and women who are defending that freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan. To that end, the team at Remodelers Advantage has adopted a soldier this year. Everyone pitched in and sent him a box FULL of goodies to make his time away from home a little easier during the holiday season. We urge all of you to take time out of your busy lives and thank all of our service men and women for the job they are doing. A couple of website to check out are:

Every year The Salvation Army provides for many who are far less fortunate than ourselves. They ensure that thousands are fed and those who may be out of work, suffered serious illness or who are homeless can get assistance when needed most! During the 2006 Holiday Season, Remodelers Advantage sponsored the "Red Kettle" on our web site to promote online donations. We know and believe our member community, such as you, are the vital reason we can help those in need.

The Relay For Life is an event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs for the American Cancer Society. Teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps with at least one team member on the track at all times. To show our commitment in the fight against cancer, the team at Remodelers Advantage was proud to sponsor a participant at the 2006 Relay For Life event.
In support of the efforts of the Domestic Violence Center to eliminate domestic violence in Howard County, Remodelers Advantage is proud to be a sponsor of the Hope Gala for 2006. Our sponsorship dollars assisted the Domestic Violence Center in achieving their goal by raising over $84,000 to fund the programs and services they provide.
