Recycling Project Waste

Frequently, clients are unaware that you can cut energy use of an existing home to ONE-THIRD of it's original amount, and build new homes that use ONE-FIFTH of the energy of an equivalent home built to building code standards. Frequently, these savings can offset the price of the installation over just a few years. As energy prices continue to rise, this is the best way to offer added value and to be responsible to future generations.

- Recycling contents (appliances, furniture, etc.) and finish materials (doors, windows, trim, etc.) at the start of the job
- Recycling items from demolition (wood, concrete, metals)
- Re-using wood in the project, particularly utility grade wood
- Coordinating with local recycling services
- On-going recycling of waste throughout the project
- Target landfill diversion rates (at least 50% should be automatic, 90% if you make a strong effort)
