Blaise McDonald

I am a second-generation builder who began my career on MAC construction sites, the company my father founded in 1980. After starting an electrical apprenticeship at 19, I worked as a civilian Marine Electrician for the Department of National Defence. A recreational injury in 2009 brought me back to the family business and led me to complete a Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management at BCIT. I became MAC’s Operations Manager in 2012 and took over as President in 2017.

MAC is a full-service design-build firm in Victoria, BC, specializing in renovations and custom homes. Our sister company, MI Construction (established in 2020), focuses on commercial renovation projects.

Since 2010, I’ve been part of the Remodelers Advantage community, first as a “university” member and then in Roundtables from 2014. My DISC profile is high D and I, low C, and my Working Genius types are Galvanizing and Discernment. I’m skilled in EOS and Sandler Training, leadership, and I am a certified Crucial Conversations trainer.
