Professional background
I have nearly 40 years in the industry. I started out sweeping floors for a GC, after completing my College education at University of California Santa Barbara. I quickly learned the trades and was a finish carpenter, electrician and working Superintendent.
I worked as Project Manager for a very high end spec builder and finally got my own license and launched Plaskoff Construction, my Custom Home Building and Remodeling company, in 1988 and built and remodeled for the LA Elite and A-list celebrities.
I was proud to be one of the first to earn one of the highest honors in the industry; the Fred Case “Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year.” I was the original Lead Construction Consultant on ABC’s” Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” in addition to building 4 of the homes featured on TV.
In 2000, I launched One Week Bath, a high end design build bathroom remodeling business, which has designed and built nearly 5,000 projects to date and is currently a 7 figure enterprise with an i ncredible team that allows me to have a life.
I am currently the CEO and President of both businesses. My 34 year old Daughter, Jessica, currently manages projects at Plaskoff Construction as well as the Marketing Department at One Week Bath.
Personal Life
I’ve been married for 38 years and my wife, Karry and I have been together for 40 years this year. I have three children Jessica 34, Ace 34 and Paige 29. All are out of the house and gainfully employed! Yay!
Karry and I love to travel and are very well traveled. We also have a travel trailer and enjoy taking that on road trips. I love the ocean.
My degree is in Marine Biology. I taught SCUBA out of college. I surf almost every day, have been for the last 50 years.
I grew up in Malibu and that’s my go to break. I’ll load up my ’77 Bronco and head out.
My wife and I enjoy wine and make that part of our travels. I’m very grateful for my life and all the amazing things I’ve been able to do and be a part of.
